Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking dedicated and resilient Individual Needs Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in schools across the area.

This role is suited to individuals who are passionate about helping young people succeed, especially those who may face additional challenges within education. You'll play an important part in providing support, encouragement and consistency, helping pupils develop both academically and personally.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Helping pupils engage with learning and classroom activities
  • Building positive relationships and acting as a trusted adult
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and behaviour management
  • Promoting confidence, independence and resilience
  • Working closely with teachers and school support staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
