Inclusion Support Assistant – Huddersfield 

Location: Huddersfield
Pay: £90 – £105 per day
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term | Temp-to-Perm

We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Inclusion Support Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive specialist provision in Huddersfield.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and ensuring that all pupils can access learning in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.

The Role:

  • Work closely with teachers to support students with a range of additional needs (ASD, SEMH, MLD, and physical or sensory needs).

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support, promoting independence and confidence.

  • Assist with personal care and moving & handling when required.

  • Support with behaviour regulation and emotional wellbeing strategies.

  • Contribute to creating a warm, engaging classroom environment where every child feels valued.

Requirements:

  • Experience in education, care, or youth work.

  • Child & Adult DBS (Update Service preferred).

  • Strong communication skills and an empathetic, proactive nature.

  • Moving & Handling or Team Teach training beneficial (training can be provided).

  • Full-time availability; driving licence desirable.
