Hydrotherapy Support Assistant required ASAP!

Do you have experience or are you interested in supporting pupils with SEN in Hydrotherapy sessions?

Hydrotherapy is the use of interactive multisensory equipment in water to aid pupils with autism or other special needs to improve their cognitive and physical abilities. The advantages of weightlessness and ease of movement assist pupils in their mobility. Sessions can also be used to both calm and stimulate pupils and, coupled with interactive features, the pool can also be used as a teaching aid.

I am seeking Teaching Assistants who are happy to undertake Hydrotherapy sessions in local SEN Schools and also act as general classroom support. A willingness to enter the water is great but you must also be willing to provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs and also be willing to provide personal care.

Applicants MUST have experience in SEN to apply and you must be a confident swimmer.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
