Job description

Home & Community Tutor – Withington (M20)
We’re currently looking for experienced educators to provide one-to-one tuition for children and young people in the Withington area. The pupils you’ll be supporting are out of mainstream school, often due to anxiety, SEN needs, or other challenges, and need extra help to stay on track with their learning.

Tuition usually takes place during the school day, either in the pupil’s home or in a local community space such as a library. The focus is on building confidence and helping each child progress in core subjects, often working at a primary level regardless of age.

This role is ideal for qualified teachers or experienced tutors who are looking for flexibility and the chance to really make a difference. You’ll be able to choose your own working hours and take on a caseload that fits your availability, all while being supported by a knowledgeable and friendly team.

Pay ranges from £25 to £30 per hour, and we offer weekly PAYE payments and opportunities for ongoing professional development. If you’re based in or near Withington and are ready for a fresh, meaningful opportunity in education, we’d love to hear from you.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
