Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a HLTA in Gillingham to fill a full time role starting in September. You would be joining a committed and motivated team of staff, in this great single form entry primary school. This role would include but may not be limited to- covering various classes within the KS1-KS2 age range- monitoring the progress and development of the pupils- be able to engage and inspire pupils of varying abilities- some 1:1/small group based work. You would also be required to offer learning support to a number of SEN pupils in KS1-KS2 therefore experience working with ASC and SEMH would be hugely beneficial to the role. 

The Ideal candidate:

• HLTA qualifications
• Passionate about primary education 
• SEN experience
• Experience working with pupils on a 1:1 basis 
• Safeguarding training 
• A DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)
• A UK address and right to work
• Flexibility in terms of transportation
• Experience within KS1&KS2
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills 
• Have the classroom confidence to potentially offer sickness and PPA cover

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
