Job description

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a high-achieving and inclusive school in Brent to recruit a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified support professional ready to take on more responsibility and contribute to classroom delivery, pupil progress, and whole-school support.

This full-time role offers variety and challenge—you’ll work closely with class teachers to plan learning activities, cover lessons, and provide targeted intervention to groups or individual pupils across EYFS, KS1, or KS2, depending on your experience.

The Role:

  • Support the delivery of engaging, differentiated lessons across the primary or secondary phase

  • Lead small group work, interventions, and occasional full-class cover

  • Work collaboratively with teachers to plan, prepare, and assess learning activities

About You:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent Level 4 certificate (or significant experience as a senior TA)

  • Experience working across primary or secondary education

  • Confident leading learning independently and supporting pupils of mixed abilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
