Flexible HLTA – Primary Schools

Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for flexible work in supportive primary school settings? We are working closely with a number of welcoming primary schools across Barnsley and Sheffield who are seeking confident and adaptable HLTAs for flexible, day-to-day and short and Long term roles.

The Role:

• Delivering planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Supporting learning across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
• Leading small group and whole-class activities
• Assisting with lesson planning and classroom management
• Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

What We’re Looking For:

• HLTA status or equivalent experience in primary schools
• Confidence working across different year groups
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A flexible, proactive, and professional approach
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
