History Teacher – Secondary School East London

We at teaching personnel is seeking a highly committed and passionate History Teacher who is keen to ignite a real passion in the students by providing a rich, varied, and exciting curriculum. As a History Teacher this role will involve you teaching as part of an established History department teaching to KS3/4. Whether you are a seasoned History Teacher or a Newly Qualified History Teacher this position will be a positive move in your career.

The school is a popular 11-18 mixed school located in Shadwell East London with a strong family and community ethos. The school’s aim is for every pupil to leave with a strong moral purpose, high aspirations, and immense pride in what they have achieved during their time at the school.

History is an important subject at the school. “It’s the story of who we are, where we come from, and can potentially reveal where we are headed’. The school aim is that students will develop an understanding of how the past impacts the present and how the present will impact the future. An understanding of history helps us understand ourselves and the world around us. History also allows us to explore the similarities between our own experiences and that of others, building empathy and understanding.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree in History
  • PGCE or QTS
  • Taught History to KS3/KS4

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
