History Teacher in Preston
The role:
Start date: September 2019
End date: April 2020
Full time: 5 days a week
Pay rate: From £570 - £800 per week!
A mixed secondary school in Preston is seeking a strong History teacher, to join their Academy in the new academic year. The school is Ofsted graded 'Good' and achieves higher than national averages in terms of student progress and performance in progress. Behaviour across the school is exemplary and the level of respect shown amongst students and staff is second to none. There are modern facilities throughout the school and it is ideally located with close by transport links and on site parking.
You will teach History across KS3 and KS4 until April 2020. The position is to cover the end of a Maternity, however depending on the return of the post holder, the position could then be extended.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and delivering quality History lessons
- Linking lessons with the use of challenging homework
- Marking and providing relevant feedback on completed work

The successful candidate will have:
- Experience teaching KS3 and KS4.
- Be able to supply at least 2 education/school based references.
