Full-time History teacher required for a Bolton based secondary school from April 2019 until the end of the academic year (2019).

Due to a staffing gap within the Humanities faculty, Teaching Personnel are working in collaboration with a large oversubscribed secondary school to appoint a dedicated and inspiring History teacher to join their growing staff team on a full-time basis.

  • Full-time History teacher - April 2019 start until the end of the academic year.
  • Must hold QTS alongside relevant degree level qualifications within Humanities.
  • Opportunity to work in an Ofsted graded 'Outstanding' secondary school.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23,720 - £39,406.

Based in the heart of Bolton, this large mixed comprehensive secondary school has seen consistent positive improvements under the guidance of Senior Leadership. Due to a recent restructure, the school have moved into a new site with access to state of the art resources within modern facilities.

The responsibilities for the incoming History teacher will include;

  • Plan, prepare and mark classwork, reporting back to Senior Leadership within the faculty and taking appropriate action for assessment and evaluation where applicable.
  • Deliver dynamic History lessons ranging to meet the needs of pupils at all levels of learning, abilities and ages.
  • Manage behaviour in accordance to school behaviour management policies, aimed at the engagement of pupils.
  • Uphold school ethos and values.

Located at the heart of Bolton, the school can be accessed via the M61 and the surrounding areas; Bury, Salford and Wigan. The school can also be accessed through various public transport options with links across Greater Manchester.
