History teacher required to fill permanent position in Manchester based secondary school with academy status.

A vacancy has opened in a Wythenshawe based secondary school for a full time History teacher position due a member of staff departing. The role is set to begin after Easter 2021 and the opportunity is permanent.

The candidate successful in their application for this role will be required to teach a timetable of History to students across the years 7-11 in an academy school with purpose-built facilities and fantastically rated academic and life skills curriculums, designed to give students a great start to life as well as supporting them to achieving the best academic results possible. The school has an Ofsted report rating of ‘Good’, the school will no doubt want any prospective candidates to work to their already high standards and excel past them wherever possible, both in terms of professional attitude and teaching quality.

The successful candidate will join a supportive department consisting of five full time history teachers which include the Vice and Assistant Vice Principal of the school, as well as a curriculum leader. With a department brimming of teaching pedigree candidates will have no doubt of the support on offer as well as a guaranteed smooth transition into teaching at this school.

Located in outer Manchester but still within the city limits, the school boasts a highly accessible position. If candidates were to drive the school is located close to the M56 motorway which links to the city centre as well as the Manchester Outer Ring Road (M60). For any candidates wishing to utilise public transport, Robinswood Road tram station is a short 0.6 mile walk from the school.
