Job description

Full-Time History Teacher (Temporary Cover)
Location: Secondary School, Preston
Contract: Full-time, Temporary
Dates: 3rd November – 19th December
Salary: Dependent on experience (in line with national teaching pay scales)

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join our committed and supportive secondary school team in Preston. This is a full-time temporary position, covering from 3rd November until 19th December.

About the Role:

  • Teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and informative lessons

  • Inspire a love of learning and historical inquiry among students of varying abilities

  • Work collaboratively within the Humanities Department to plan, assess and support student progress

  • Contribute to the wider school community and uphold high expectations for behaviour and achievement

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching History at secondary level

  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills

  • Ability to engage and motivate students

  • A commitment to safeguarding and the well-being of all students
