Teaching Personnel are seeking to recruit a History Teacher for a secondary school in Northamptonshire!
History Teacher – Full Time, Permanent
Salary: M1 to M9 - £31,650 - £49,084 per year
Start Date: September 2025
Job Overview:
Teaching Personnel is supporting a highly regarded and oversubscribed secondary school in their search for a committed and enthusiastic History Teacher to join their successful Humanities faculty in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a thriving department that places a strong emphasis on collaboration, academic achievement, and student engagement.
The successful candidate will deliver History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential to teach A Level. The ability to teach another Humanities subject—such as Geography, Religious Studies, or PSHE—would be an added advantage.
About the Role:
- Teach History to students across KS3 and GCSE, with potential A Level teaching
- Contribute to a dynamic Humanities faculty offering a range of subjects including Sociology, Politics, Psychology, Travel & Tourism, and Religious Studies
- Work collaboratively within a large, supportive department focused on delivering high-quality lessons and outstanding outcomes
- Engage students with creative and inclusive teaching approaches in a subject that enjoys high levels of student interest and uptake at both GCSE and A-Level
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- History as a subject specialism (additional Humanities subject desirable)
- Excellent subject knowledge and classroom teaching skills
- A commitment to high standards, continuous improvement, and positive student progress
- Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to complete a DBS check
