History Teacher – Bring the Past to Life

Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: £162 - £251pd
Contract Type: Full-time | Long-term
Start Date: September 2025

Do you have a passion for the past and a knack for storytelling? Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated History Teacher to join a committed humanities team at a secondary school in Northampton! 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver thought-provoking history lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.

  • Explore key historical events, movements, and individuals with depth and clarity.

  • Inspire debate, enquiry, and independent learning.

  • Prepare pupils for GCSE History exams with effective planning and assessment.

Requirements:

  • QTS or PGCE in History or related subject.

  • Previous classroom teaching experience in a UK secondary school.

  • Excellent subject knowledge and ability to differentiate effectively.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
