Inspire the Future by Exploring the Past – History Teacher (Daventry Area)

This is an exciting opportunity to help young learners connect with the past while developing the critical thinking skills they need for the future.
Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher for a permanent role in the Daventry area, starting December 2025.
Key Responsibilities
-
Deliver engaging and thought-provoking History lessons aligned with the National Curriculum at KS3 and KS4
-
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and achievement
-
Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback
-
Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour using effective management strategies
-
Contribute to curriculum development, departmental planning, and whole-school initiatives
-
Participate fully in school life, including staff meetings, CPD opportunities, and extracurricular activities
What We’re Looking For
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
-
Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching History at secondary level
-
A confident classroom presence and the ability to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons
-
A commitment to inclusive teaching, supporting all students to reach their full potential
-
A collaborative, proactive team player who contributes positively to the school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
