Role: Teacher of History
Location: NN3, Northampton
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a great school in Northampton, who are currently seeking an outstanding Fully Qualified Teacher of History to join their schools Humanities from September or potentially sooner.
Job Duties
- Deliver high-quality history lessons to students, following the curriculum guidelines.
- Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
- Assess and evaluate students' progress through regular assignments, tests, and examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and development.
- Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, achievements, and behaviour.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in history education and incorporate them into teaching practises.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Bachelor's degree in History or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching history at the secondary school level.
- Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and motivate students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
- A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
