Our client secondary school situated in the Tameside area is looking to recruit a motivated and confident History teacher starting with them following the Easter break. This will be to start with the school on Tuesday 23rd April. This is a full time teaching position for half a term or a term in the first instance until May or July 2019. This is to cover a planned upcoming long term absence within the department; with the current History teacher likely being absent for the whole term. As this role is for a minimum of 6 weeks, planning and marking will be expected as part of this History teaching position.
As a partner school to Teaching Personnel and liaising closely with the Head of Humanities, the school are specifically looking for a positive teacher to join this good school and supportive Humanities department, ensuring that learning is of the highest standard. The school are happy to accept applications from Historians that are NQTs or more experienced teachers with experience in teaching History.
Highlights of this History teaching position:
- Pay between £550 - £825 per week depending on experience and pay scale
- Work within a highly supportive Humanities department where each member of staff is a valued member of the team
- Work within a 'Good' secondary school in the Tameside area
- CPD opportunities are plentiful via the Teaching Personnel Academy as well as internally with the school
- Half a term/1 term's work with planning and marking as part of this History teaching position
This mixed secondary school is an over subscribed, thriving secondary school which prides itself on being a first choice for students and parents within the Tameside area. Students have been praised for showing positive attitudes towards their learning and achieve well as a result. The school and Head of Humanities therefore have high expectations of all teachers and students alike. Students are engaged with their learning and therefore challenging behaviour is kept to a minimum at this good secondary school.
The school is based in the Tameside area towards the East of the city centre which is very easily accessible from any of the surrounding areas such as Stalybridge, Dukinfield, Ashton-Under-Lyne and further afield. The M67 and M60 motorway networks are very nearby making this school easy to get to for any car drivers. The school has a secure on site car park and is set in pleasant surroundings with fantastic facilities.
