Contract: Full-time, Part-time  Term Time Only

We are a vibrant and inclusive primary school in the heart of Portsmouth, dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for every child. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team and play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work alongside teachers to support the delivery of high-quality lessons.

• Plan and deliver engaging learning activities to individuals, groups, and whole classes when required.

• Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and achieve their potential.

• Contribute to the development of educational resources and classroom displays.

• Support pupil assessment and provide feedback to teaching staff.

• Supervise pupils during break/lunch times and support with school events where needed.

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a recognised HLTA qualification (or equivalent) or has significant experience in a similar role.

• Has a passion for working with children and supporting their educational development.

• Demonstrates excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.

• Is flexible, proactive, and able to take initiative.

• Understands safeguarding practices and has a commitment to promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
