Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Secondary School – Leyland

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Full-time, term time only

Are you an enthusiastic and experienced HLTA looking to make a real difference in a supportive secondary school environment? We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Leyland this September.
This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, offering the chance to become a valued member of the school’s dedicated support team.
About the Role:
-
Deliver structured interventions and support learning across Key Stages 3 and 4
-
Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher
-
Assist in planning and preparing resources
-
Work closely with teaching staff to raise achievement and engagement
-
Provide 1:1 and small group support when required
About You:
-
Hold HLTA status or have equivalent qualifications and experience
-
Previous experience supporting learners in a secondary school setting
-
Confident leading the class and managing behaviour effectively
-
Passionate about helping students reach their full potential
-
Adaptable, proactive and a strong team player

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
