Head of Mathematics – Permanent Role
Location: North Yorkshire
Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR 2b
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2025

An ambitious secondary school in North Yorkshire is seeking to appoint a dedicated and forward-thinking Head of Mathematics to lead their department from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent role and an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher ready to take the next step into middle leadership, or for an existing subject leader seeking a fresh challenge in a new setting.

The successful candidate will lead a team of Maths specialists, shaping curriculum delivery and ensuring consistently high standards across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school has a strong emphasis on academic achievement, and Maths is a key priority area with excellent uptake and outcomes.

This leadership post offers the chance to drive continued improvement within a collaborative and well-supported environment. The incoming Head of Mathematics will benefit from the trust’s strong focus on professional development and distributed leadership.

  • Be committed to inclusive education and high aspirations for all learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
