Graduates for classroom support

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting youth workers to work as classroom support within Sunderland secondary schools. Generally, as support staff, you may be expected to aid with covering lessons in the teacher's absence, ensuring the completion of work and encouraging good behaviour. Alternatively, you may work on a smaller group basis, sometimes even one-to-one with disadvantaged pupils. You must be a compassionate, confident individual, who likes to help others, in order to succeed in this role.
OVERVIEW
- Full and part-time roles available
- Supporting pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis in lessons to ensure students are able to overcome obstacles to their learning and retain information effectively
- Covering lessons in the absence of the teacher, ensuring that students complete work pre-set for them
- Working in collaboration with teachers to produce a plan to provide sufficient support to students who are disadvantaged by their personal circumstances
- Invaluable experience for graduates who wish to pursue a career within schools, or working alongside young people
- Great pay rates ranging from £50-70 daily
