We have a number of Graduate Teaching jobs available with Teaching Personnel, helping you take your first steps into a very exciting and rewarding career in education. Whether you are employed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant or a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to further develop your experience as well as your skill set, whilst networking in a secondary school environment - cementing your chances of a successful career in education.

You will automatically be enrolled onto Teaching Personnel's Future Teachers Programme while working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant or Graduate Cover Supervisor within our client schools in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for any aspiring teachers and is a scheme put in place to address the teacher shortage in England. You will have the opportunity to gain further experience within a secondary school environment through extra training within the school and go into your PGCE or similar teacher training programme in a much better position than your peers, maximising your chance of achieving the top grades.

  • Working within the classroom, supporting the teachers' lesson plan and assisting pupils with any questions they have with work and offering guidance within your specialist subject area
  • Ensuring the school's code of conduct is followed and delivering effective behaviour management for pupils within and outside the classroom
  • Working together with the department and supporting the teachers with planning, delivery and marking of classwork and homework in your specialist subject area
  • Supporting pupils with any additional needs they may have, whether these are SEN, behaviour or learning related
