Graduate Teaching Assistants for Wandsworth School

An inclusive mainstream primary school in the Wandsworth area is looking to appoint several graduates/undergraduates that aspire to be a qualified teacher, teaching assistant positions within their school. Overseas applicants welcome to apply.

The school will help train the chosen candidates to become a teacher so that they have the necessary experience to determine whether they have what it takes before hand.

No experience needed however all candidates must be considering a career in teaching and must have experience working with children.

This teaching assistant role is suitable for the following candidates:
- Teaching assistants that wish to pursue a teaching career
- Overseas qualified teachers looking to gain experience within UK schools
- Graduates who wish to gain a QTS in the future

The chosen candidates will ideally have experience working with pupils within an academic environment, and must have the ability to teach and support the pupil's academic development.

The school itself helps children to experience a sense of achievement through sport and the creative arts so are looking for someone that can think outside of the box and are creative with ideas.

You will be assisting with a variety of special needs within a mainstream school setting, experience would be preferred however not essential if you meet other criteria's.

This is a full time teaching assistant position to be held for one academic year with a start date of Easter 2018. Salaries will vary depending on experience of candidate.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
