Graduate Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting several Aspiring Teachers and Graduate Teaching Assistants/ Cover Supervisors to work in a secondary school with pupils across Key Stage 3 and 4. If you’re looking to gain experience before starting initial teacher training or a PGCE, this is the role for you!

The role of a Teaching Assistant/ Cover Supervisor can be flexible, including on a part-time basis, which means we can fit work around current studying, work and family responsibilities.

Duties of this particular role will include:

• Promoting and assisting with the learning and development of pupils.
• Encouraging pupils’ confidence and independence.
• Managing behaviour.
• Preparing learning resources, as directed by the Class Teacher.
• You may also be required to track and review pupils’ progress, then reporting to the Class Teacher and/or SENCO
