Graduate Teaching Assistant - Rochdale

Are you a recent graduate seeking an exciting and rewarding career?

Do you have experience in a capacity supporting young people?

Do you plan to enrol on your PGCE or similar teacher training programme in the near future?

If you answered yes to any of these questions then we have the perfect opportunity for you working with us as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Teaching Personnel

  • Earn up to ÂŁ1300(negotiable) a month dependent on experience and responsibilities within the school
  • Full and part time hours available dependent on needs of the department
  • Gain recognisable experience as well as additional qualifications and training through our CPD training courses

Working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant is a very rewarding role where every day will be different, not only will you get the opportunity to further develop your experience you will also gain further qualifications through Teaching Personnel's further development training and CPD courses. This is an excellent opportunity for any graduate to gain further experience in a secondary school environment before enrolling on a PGCE or similar teacher training programme.

Duties as a Graduate Teaching Assistant Include:

  • Assist in delivering effective teaching on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
  • Supporting pupils in any education, behaviour or emotional difficulties they may encounter
  • Help with the planning and marking of lessons
  • Support the development of pupils, educational and behaviour related
  • Prepare classroom recourses
  • Provided feedback to teachers and parents of pupils progress and any difficulties encountered
  • Help with extracurricular activities such as revision sessions
