Are you a graduate thinking about a career in teaching?

Do you want to secure a long term graduate position in a teacher training approved school?

We are seeking graduates across Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch to work as Teaching Assistants and Cover Supervisors. The right candidate would have a keen interest in becoming a fully qualified teacher in the future. This role is a perfect stepping stone into teaching as it gives you the opportunity to not only develop your skills, but also allows you to gain experience in a wide variety of local schools.

*** Flexible work to fit around any other commitments

*** Long Term, Full or Part Time graduate role

*** Open to graduates of any specialism

Working with a range of talented teachers you will support student learning on a 1:1 basis and get a first-hand insight into what is required to be a confident and capable teacher. Once you are comfortable in the Teaching Assistant role, you can start working as a Cover Supervisor, where you will manage classes of around 30 children or young people in a teachers absence. This opportunity is a great first step for those who have graduated or are studying and thinking of becoming a teacher in the future.

We have specialist branches for Primary, Secondary and SEN so whatever your preference, we have a dedicated and experienced consultant in your preferred area to help you along the way.

What we need from you:

  • 2 suitable work based or educational references
  • Clear passion for working with young people and in the education sector
  • A DBS (Or be happy to apply for one of these during registration)
  • The ability to manage confrontation and challenging behaviour
