Graduate Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel and its partner schools have created a ‘Future Teachers Programme’ to support the recruitment of graduates who are looking for one year of paid experience before joining a teacher training course.

• Full-time English Graduate Teaching Assistant positions on the ‘Future Teachers Programme’.
• Positions available for September 2021 guaranteed until the end of the academic year (July 2022).
• Earn up to GBP1400 per month.
• Secondary school located in Bury.

What are the roles and responsibilities of a ‘Future Teacher’?

• Work with a small group of students in need of extra support.
• Deliver pre-planned English focused interventions and monitor pupils’ progress.
• Work alongside the class teacher to plan sessions and cover lessons alongside receiving training on what is involved to become a future English teacher.
• Full support and training will be provided by an ‘Outstanding Teaching School’.

To be accepted onto the Future Teachers Programme, you must have a English degree or be coming to the end of the final year of your degree.

Following the completion of the Future Teachers Programme, successful Graduates will be supported onto a Schools Direct/teacher training course.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
