Calling all aspiring secondary teachers - are you looking for paid hands on experience within a Weymouth secondary school this academic year? Are you available straight away?

Teaching Personnel are currently in the process of recruiting for a team of passionate Graduate Level Teaching Assistants for our Weymouth based partner secondary school, fixed term till the end of the academic year.

Our Graduate Teaching Assistant positions will allow you to develop a foundation of strong experience prior to training to teach, whilst gaining an invaluable understanding of the education sector and your role within the teaching and learning of young people.

  • Full-time Graduate Teaching Assistants required for a Weymouth secondary school from February 2019.
  • Previous experience supporting young people within an education capacity is highly desired.
  • Flexibility to support across the school board is essential due to the nature of the position.
  • Opportunity to work in an Ofsted rated 'Good' secondary School with access to CPD Training programmes which including effective behaviour management, preparation for teaching, assessment for learning and differentiation etc.
  • Earn up to £1200 per month.

The role for the successful Graduate Teaching Assistant will include completing a full academic year of paid work, through 1:1 support; small group based intervention and or tutoring, along side delivering pre-planned lessons where required.

Based in the heart of Weymouth, this school has built up a strong reputation as a 'Good' school with just over 700 pupils on roll aged 11-16, the Graduate Teaching Assistant will be joining a growing secondary school amongst a strong staff team.
