Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant
Start Date: November 2025
Location: Teesside
Contract: Full-time, Temp to Permanent
Salary: £90–£100 a day (Dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is excited to recruit enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants to support schools across Teesside. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand classroom experience, develop your teaching skills, and explore the rewarding path towards becoming a qualified teacher.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Creating a welcoming and motivating classroom environment where students feel supported and inspired.

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to help students achieve their potential.

  • Collaborating closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and classroom activities.

  • Applying and developing your subject knowledge in real classroom settings.

  • Playing an active role in encouraging positive behaviour and student progress.

What we’re looking for:

  • A degree in any subject (Education-related degrees are desirable but not essential).

  • Previous experience supporting young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, youth work) is a bonus but not required.

  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to apply).

  • A strong communicator with enthusiasm, adaptability, and a genuine passion for education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
