Graduate Teaching Assistant

Are you a recent graduate looking for an exciting career opportunity?

Teaching Personnel are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to work in our client's secondary school this September. If you have just graduated and you are looking to get into teaching, this is the perfect opportunity for you. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant you will be working closely with secondary school students, in a number of different roles making every day different and exciting.

The Graduate Teaching Assistant role will involve; general classroom assistance supporting a teacher with a class of students; utilising your specialist subject knowledge by performing one to one and small group tuition; working with SEN students; supporting students that have behaviour issues, in and out of the classroom.

  • Graduate Teaching Assistant, supporting KS3 and KS4 students
  • Starting in September for the new academic year
  • Competitive pay, paid on a weekly basis (£259-£309)
  • Located in Tameside, South Manchester
  • Working hours 08:30-15:30, full time position

With the new academic year approaching, our client's secondary school are looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support their students when they return from their summer holidays. The extra support you will offer as a Graduate Teaching Assistant will benefit the students and classroom teacher massively, helping the students focus, giving them the extra support they will need.

The ideal Graduate Teaching Assistant we are looking for will;

  • Have experience working with secondary school students in a learning environment
  • Be a recent graduate with a good general knowledge on the main core subjects to help support the students
  • Be aspiring to become a teacher in the future and potentially undertake a PGCE
  • Be able to commit to a full time contract
  • Have the confidence to assist and teach secondary school students with a range of academic abilities

The secondary school that is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant is located in the South of Manchester in Tameside. Situated just off the M60 in Ashton-Under-Lyne, with public transport links close by, makes the secondary school very easy to access in the morning rush hour. With state of the art facilities and top quality equipment, it is an excellent school for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to work in.
