Are you a graduate considering taking a route into Secondary teaching? Would you benefit from working as a graduate teaching assistant and gaining practical classroom based experience ahead of a teacher training course?

If so, Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a lead teacher training school located in Salford, sourcing graduates to work as graduate teaching assistants prior to beginning their teacher training programme.

*In order to be considered for this programme you must hold or be in the process of completing a Degree, minimum*.

The Future Teachers Programme;

  • 2 year programme; 1 year working as a teaching assistant prior to completing teacher training the following year
  • Roles to expect during your placement will range from; Teaching Assistant/ Support staff, and General Cover Supervisor.
  • Opportunity to work within your subject specialism, through the continued support from your assigned mentors and or senior leadership.
  • Practical experience throughout the academic year working in schools throughout Greater Manchester.
  • Get paid whilst learning with the potential to progress on to a schools direct programme at the school.

The Future Teachers Programme is designed to work as a stepping stone to provide you with invaluable school based experience prior to training to teach. You will receive excellent practical knowledge and support from staff to help you build on your experience.

With continued support through observations and termly reviews, with your senior mentors you can expect to receive continued feedback in relevant areas.
