Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Cwmbran. You’ll support pupils with additional needs such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, or Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) challenges—helping them achieve, grow in confidence, and feel included in school life.

Hours: Mon – Fri, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Contract: Full-time or flexible part-time
What You’ll Do

Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups
-
Encourage positive behaviour & emotional wellbeing
-
Adapt resources to meet individual needs
-
Create a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom space
-
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff
-
Contribute to EHCPs and IEPs
Who We’re Looking For
-
Graduates or students in Psychology, Education, Sociology, Childhood Studies or similar
-
Any experience with children or young people (paid, voluntary or personal)
-
Passionate about supporting children with SEN
-
Calm, empathetic and a good communicator
-
A strong team player with a genuine interest in child development
