A mixed secondary school that works with Teaching Personnel is looking to recruit a passionate graduate to fulfil their Teaching Assistant role. This is a full time Teaching Assistant role for a confident and motivated graduate who is keen to work within a secondary school environment.
This full-time position is due to start in October (or November) with flexibility on start date with the successful Teaching Assistant required for the hours 8:30am – 3:30pm each day. The school are looking to conduct remote interviews or more likely informal conversations during the next 2 – 3 weeks so please apply as soon as possible if interested.
Teaching Assistant role:
This role will involve supporting students aged 11 – 16 in the main, assisting the class teacher in ensuring they have access to the subjects being studied. There will be opportunities to support students who are excelling in their studies as well as opportunity to support students who have been identified as falling behind their peers. Any experience of working in this way with young people aged 11 – 16 will be beneficial. Highlights of this Teaching Assistant position:
- Pay will be dependent upon experience but with potential to earn between £1550 - £1750 per month (specific hours dependent)
- Full time Teaching Assistant required, ideally to start in October as this academic year continues
- Highly supportive and academic secondary school situated in Altrincham
- Flexible but hours are likely to be 8:35am – 3:30pm
Graduates from an English, Maths or Science subject background are highly desirable to this school as elements of the support required are in these subjects. However, graduates from any degree discipline will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
The school are ideally looking for an enthusiastic graduate who is perhaps looking to pursue a career in the education sector in the future. This role will be an ideal platform for any graduate to gain valuable experience at a highly reputable secondary school. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
