As the successful applicant, you should be a highly motivated graduate who has a good academic record and a 2:1 or above in their degree and a desire to be a teacher or work within SEN Schools. One of my partnership schools look for people who are keen to begin a career with them and along with Teaching Personnel, will offer various CPD courses and effective behaviour management techniques and skills, such as Team Teach, Moving & Handling, NASEN, Autism & Child Psychology. In this Graduate Teaching Assistant post you will be working with a mix of Primary and Secondary aged pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education, or due to having an EHCP in place, are unable to attend a mainstream School. Class sizes are small of around 4 to 12 students, dependant on their needs. Under the direction of the Class Teacher or Senior Leadership Team, you will have opportunities of 1:1 and small group intervention and support.
