A Secondary School local to the Basildon, Essex area are looking to recruit new Cover Supervisors to work within the school assisting on a flexible basis. The role is part time but can have the opton to turn into a full time position, the School are looking for staff to start as soon as possible. This School is rated 'Good' by Ofsted and are well on their way to becoming 'Outstanding', making this an exciting time to work with them!

The role;

A Cover Supervisor is in charge of the classroom management and makes sure that the pupils keep on task. A Cover Supervisor provides assistance to the regular teaching teams by taking classes and delivering pre-pplanned work. They play a huge part in the running of a secondary school, by freeing up the regular qualified teaching staff to carry out essential marking, planning and preparation. 

The pay;

The Pay is GBP9.50 per hour, at Teaching Personnel we pay weekly via PAYE.

Requirements;

No formal qualifications are required, however, we are especially interested in Graduates for the position. Significant experience of working with secondary age children in a position of authority is desired. Suitable experience may be as sports coaches or youth leaders, transferable skills include; confidence, strong behaviour management, passion for education and the ability to demonstrate initiative. 

Work for this role often comes in on daily basis, so you will need to be flexible, it would be beneficial to be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle. However, if you are good the job can be regular and it may even turn into a permanent position. Many people use the role of Cover Supervisor as a kick-start to a teaching career.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
