Graduate Teaching Assistant- Primary school- Salford (M5)
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a large Primary school situated in Salford to recruit for a Graduate Teaching Assistant. This full time position (starting as soon as possible) represents a unique opportunity for a graduate to work as a Teaching Assistant within a Primary school before potentially joining them on a permanent basis.
Have you just graduated from University with a degree is English, Maths, Education Studies, Psychology etc? This could be a perfect opportunity to gain valuable experience in an Education setting.
Specific job duties-
- To work effectively both independently and as part of a team to work with identified pupils.
- To provide 1-to-1 learning support in class and with small groups of students.
- To use your personal qualities to overcome any apathy to learning.
- To challenge any disengaged behaviour competently and in line with the school's policy.
Benefits-
- Excellent rate of pay (up to £300 a week) with the possibility of securing a fixed-term contract after the initial supply period (typically one term).
The school-
Our partner primary school enjoys an excellent reputation and as a result is one of the largest in Salford with over 500 pupils currently on roll. Almost all of the pupils are from White British heritage. Due to the large cohort, the numbers of pupils eligible for the pupil premium funding are higher than the national average.
It is located on the border of Salford and Manchester. It is also situated close to the M60 and tram line from Manchester.
