Graduate Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools – Castle Vale (B35)
Opportunity for recent Childcare or Psychology graduates
Are you a recent graduate with a degree in childcare or psychology? Are you seeking valuable experience in a primary school setting before pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, or SEN support?
Teaching Personnel is currently working with several inclusive and welcoming primary schools in Castle Vale (B35). We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistants to support students aged 5–11 in both classroom and 1:1 settings.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and build confidence in the education field while making a real difference in children's development.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with lesson delivery and classroom organisation for class teachers

Work with students individually or in small groups, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
-
Support the emotional, social, and academic progress of children
-
Create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
-
Establish professional and trusted relationships with students, staff, and families
Qualifications:
-
Completed a degree in childcare or psychology within the last 1–2 years
-
Passionate about working with children and supporting their development
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Patient, compassionate, and resilient when faced with challenges
-
Interested in pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, social work, or SEN support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
