Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Secondary School, Blackpool
Start Date: September
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (flexibility available)
Contract: Term Time Only

Previous experience working with children or within a school setting is essential for this role.

About the Role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support classroom teaching, help manage student behaviour and provide targeted support to individuals or small groups. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and supporting students’ learning
- Providing one-to-one or small group support, particularly for students with additional needs
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Helping students achieve their learning and personal development goals
- Supporting behaviour management and classroom routines
Person Specification:
We are looking for graduates who:
- Have previous experience working with children or in a school environment
- Are confident, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting young people
- Communicate effectively and work well in a team
- Can build strong relationships with students and staff
- Follow safeguarding protocols and prioritise student safety

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
