Due to an expansion in the department, a secondary school in Parrs Wood are seeking to appoint a Geography ECT to begin in September 2023. If you are due to/have recently finished your teacher training this is a great opportunity to work in an Ofsted good school and complete your ECT years.

The school offering this Geography post teaches a two-year KS3 that follows the National Curriculum topics including The British Isles, Tropical Rainforests, Tourism and International Development. In year 9, pupils begin preparing for their GCSE courses, with the vast majority undertaking the start of the course itself and all have the chance to complete at least one GCSE by the end of the year. At KS4, the Geography course looks at developing a number of skills such as cartographic and statistical skills through topics including Urban Issues and Challenges, Natural Hazards, Human Geography and various pieces of fieldwork.
