Are you a graduate aspiring to be a secondary teacher? Have you got previous experience working with young people aged 11-16 years?

Our client secondary school located in Rochdale is currently seeking a graduate to join their cover team on a flexible basis. This post is the perfect opportunity for any graduate seeking a career in secondary education to gain an introduction into a secondary school.

As a cover Supervisor you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher, ensuring all students are on task and motivated and giving feedback to the classroom teacher on the students overall progress. When cover is not needed you will work on a 1:1 basis providing intervention sessions for the low ability students in your subject specialism.

This is a mixed 11-16 secondary school with a sixth form based on a large site in the semi rural setting of Wardle. The school serves the local community; Wardle, Dearnley, Littleborough and Smithy Bridge close to the M62 and have transport links from Manchester City centre. The school has recently restructured their leadership team and integrated a new behaviour management policy having a positive turn around in overall performance.
