Available Roles
Cover Supervisors
As a Cover Supervisor, you will take the lead in the classroom, delivering pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising lessons across a range of subjects using pre-set materials
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Keeping students engaged, focused, and on task
- Providing clear feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
- Supporting the wider school community and maintaining a positive learning environment
This role provides valuable experience in classroom management and is ideal for graduates considering teaching.
Teaching Assistants (SEN, SEMH & Alternative Provision)
You will work in specialist settings supporting students with additional needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), SEN, ASD, ADHD, and behavioural challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
- Supporting students with additional learning or behavioural needs
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
- Implementing behaviour support strategies and individual learning plans
- Helping students build confidence, independence, and emotional regulation
- Monitoring progress and feeding back to staff
- Creating a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment

Future Teachers – SKiP Programme (School-Based Teacher Training)
This structured pathway is designed for graduates who want to become qualified teachers.
Year 1 – Cover Supervisor:
- Deliver lessons and gain classroom experience
- Support departments with interventions and school activities
- Build confidence in behaviour management and lesson delivery
- Receive mentoring and ongoing professional development
Year 2 – Teacher Training (SKiP):
- Train in your chosen subject area
- Teach a reduced timetable while developing your skills
- Receive mentoring, observations, and structured feedback
- Work towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and potentially a PGCE
This is a fully supported, school-based route into teaching with no tuition costs.
Who We’re Looking For

- Recent graduates (all degree subjects considered)
- Aspiring teachers and PGCE applicants
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking additional experience
- Individuals with experience in youth work, coaching, tutoring, or mentoring
Key requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence working with young people
- A proactive, positive, and resilient attitude
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
