This is the perfect opportunity to spend a year in a school with an excellent national reputation, part of a well-established trust that offers multiple supportive pathways into teaching. Many of our Cover Supervisors have gone on to complete PGCEs, School Direct, or salaried teacher training routes after building confidence in this role.

What you’ll do as a Cover Supervisor:

  • Supervise lessons across a variety of subjects in the absence of the class teacher.

  • Deliver pre-prepared resources, keeping pupils engaged and on task.

  • Use positive behaviour management strategies to create a purposeful classroom.

  • Support students of all abilities, including those with additional needs.

  • Gain hands-on classroom management skills that will set you apart when applying for teacher training.

This role is ideal for:

  • Recent graduates seeking practical experience in schools.

  • Aspiring teachers who want to explore education before committing to training.

  • Confident communicators and leaders who enjoy working with young people.

Why start your teaching journey with Teaching Personnel?

  • Access to exclusive roles in our trusted partner schools, many with direct training opportunities.

  • A dedicated consultant to support your professional journey and next steps into teaching.

  • Free CPD training through our online Academy, covering behaviour management, safeguarding, SEN, and classroom strategies.

  • Weekly pay via PAYE and competitive daily rates.

  • Clear pathways into teacher training, with many of our graduates moving from Cover Supervisor into permanent teaching roles.

  • Be part of the UK’s leading education recruitment agency, established for over 25 years and trusted by schools nationwide.

If you’re a graduate looking for meaningful experience in education, this is the perfect stepping stone. Spend a year building skills, confidence, and classroom knowledge in a school that can open the door to a successful teaching career.
