Graduate Counsellors needed within SEN Schools
Job description
Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a Client provision to appoint a Graduate Counsellor to support 4-19 year olds with a range of Special Educational Needs, including SEMH & Autism.
This position is due to commence in January 2019, depending on your availability. The role will be to directly work with young people to empower them to manage their emotions and behaviour and develop their personal and social development within School and home life. Due to the backgrounds of the children, you will be expected to take a non-judgemental approach and act on each individual EHCP in place.
As the ideal applicant, you must have a background in counselling or a degree in a related area. You should be willing to gain an understanding and appreciation of the school's culture and have the ability to work with key pastoral staff and senior leaders.
Job Role Essentials:
- Experience of working with vulnerable young people
- A-Level or Degree in relevant discipline
