Graduate Behaviour Support Mentor - Exeter

This requires a graduate with a combination of good academic skills and confidence to work in an environment with responsibilities that change daily. A new special educational needs school in Exeter are looking for behaviour support workers for their school. The school caters for children who struggle to engage in mainstream education due to learning and behaviour difficulties. Each child has their own bespoke curriculum, designed by identifying the children's strengths, weaknesses and interests.

***Graduate behaviour support worker, working with a 1:1 child that may have learning and behaviour difficulties in Exeter

***Previous experience within the classroom or with children is ESSENTIAL.

***Work alongside teachers, planning and preparing activities for your 1:1 child.

***Ideal for graduates who are considering teaching as a career.

***Pay rate £54 - £65 per day.

As a graduate learning support assistant you will be working in a large support staff team. Your responsibilities will change on a daily basis to meet the ever changing needs of the children. If you have worked as a teaching assistant before this would be advantageous. You must have a confident nature and the personality to engage and enthuse pupils who may be disengaged. Working as a graduate learning support assistant can be ideal preparation if you are considering going in to teaching, the school are happy to consider graduates from all subject backgrounds.
