Train to Teach While Earning a Full Salary
Are you ready to begin a career in teaching without the financial burden of traditional training routes? Our unique two-year programme pays you from day one while guiding you every step of the way to Qualified Teacher Status.
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
This is a fully salaried two-year route into teaching based in Poole. You will spend your first year working as a Cover Supervisor within our school, earning between £23,000 and £27,000 while receiving comprehensive training and mentorship. Your second year transitions into formal teacher training, with salary support continuing throughout, leading to QTS
WHAT THE FIRST YEAR LOOKS LIKE
Starting September 2026, you join our school as a fully employed Cover Supervisor. This isn't just a job—it's the beginning of your teaching journey.
Your salary and benefits from day one:

Your training and development throughout the year:
You will attend weekly professional development sessions covering the core principles of teaching—lesson design, classroom behaviour, student assessment, and safeguarding. Alongside this, a dedicated mentor will work with you personally, providing coaching, feedback, and guidance as you gradually take on greater teaching responsibilities. You will also have regular opportunities to observe experienced teachers across different subjects and year groups.
WHAT THE SECOND YEAR DELIVERS
From September 2027, you move into formal teacher training while continuing to receive financial support. This year is about consolidating everything you have learned and achieving the qualification that launches your permanent teaching career.
You will finish the programme with:
Qualified Teacher Status A permanent teaching position confirmed within our school or trust Continued salary throughout the training year A strong professional foundation for future career growth
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
To enter teacher training in year two, candidates must hold:
Degree level qualification from a UK university or overseas equivalent GCSE English Language — Grade C or Grade 4 minimum GCSE Mathematics — Grade C or Grade 4 minimum

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
