German Teacher

A ‘Good’ Secondary School in the Gateshead area is seeking a German Teacher who can confidently deliver A-Level to undertake a maternity cover which is due to after Christmas until at least the May half term. The successful candidate will hold QTS in the UK and must be able to deliver German at A-Level as well as GCSE.

The Role

• German Teacher with a second language (preferable, not essential)
• Teaching across KS3 – KS5
• Full-time post
• Based in a Gateshead School
• Maternity cover – lasting until June 2021 at least

• Some GCSE and A-level booster groups to be set up and ran

The Candidate:

• Must hold QTS in the UK
• Must be able to confidently deliver GCSE German, with A-Level being a distinct advantage
• Must possess a DBS on the Update service/be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS (Child Workforce Only)
• Must be able to show a track record of improving pupil attainment
