Geography Teacher - Stockport Secondary School

Our client school in Stockport are looking for a Geography teacher for the new academic year in September 2018 due to a recent vacancy within the department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Geography teacher looking for their next full time Geography post or an NQT looking for their first Geography teaching position. Situated in the south Stockport area the school is well know for it's outstanding academic achievement being in the top three performing schools in the borough. You will be given the opportunity to teach students Geography who achieve higher then national averages and show respect to teachers and each other.

The post is full time delivering Geography across KS3/KS4 so previous experience of this is essential. The school aren't looking for someone who can deliver A level Geography within this particular timetable but the school does have a sixth form so there will be opportunities for the successful Geographer to do so in the future.

You will be well supported by a settled and experienced Humanities department that regular shares good practice and CPD opportunities. Geography teachers interested in this position will need to have QTS in the UK, school based references and a DBS certificate to be eligible for this post.
