The Headteacher at a large Salford based secondary school is seeking a full time Teacher of Geography to join their welcoming staff team from January 2020 or earlier.

The school wishes to appoint a passionate, ambitious and highly inspirational Teacher of Geography to join their highly successful department. If you are a dynamic practitioner, with a genuine love for the subject seeking an exciting new challenge then please see the details below.

-          Full time Teacher of Geography required from January 2020 or earlier.

-          Must hold QTS alongside relevant degree level qualification within Geography.

-          Applications are urged from both experienced and newly qualified teachers as relevant support will be provided for the successful post-holder.

-          Opportunity to work within a welcoming secondary school in an excellent location, easily accessible via the M60/A580 (Eats Lancashire Road).

-          Pay in line with MPS/UPS GBP24, 373 - GBP40, 490.

The Humanities department has recently been refurbished with access to state of the art resources within modern facilities and open plan learning spaces. As the incoming Teacher of Geography, you can expect to join a resourceful department within a welcoming secondary school, admired by staff, pupils and parents alike.

The responsibilities for the successful Teacher of Geography will include but may not be limited to;

-          Contribute to the Geography department to engage, motivate and inspire.

-          Deliver outstanding Geography lessons in line with the Geography National Curriculum at Key Stage 3/4 and GCSE, through differentiated teaching and learning.

-          Evaluate and asses classwork taking appropriate action to provide additional support

-          Promote an inclusive pedagogy best suited to each individual learner.

-          Take on extra curricular responsibilities which include attending regular staff meetings, parent’s evenings and staff training; where applicable.

Currently this dynamic secondary school serves just over 500 pupils aged 11-16. Located in the Eccles region of Salford, the school can easily be accessed via the M60/A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Trafford. There is also a number of public transport options with links across Greater Manchester.
