Geography Teacher

At Teaching Personnel, we are looking to recruit an Geography Teacher for one of our secondary schools in Wakefield.

Ready to embark on a journey of exploration and discovery with your students? ECTs and Fully Qualified teachers with some experience teaching in the UK and a DBS on the update service, are welcome to apply.

Role Overview: As a Geography Teacher, you will have the opportunity to foster a deeper understanding of the Earth's landscapes, environments, and cultures among students. You will plan and deliver high-quality lessons that encourage exploration, critical thinking, and a sense of responsibility for our planet. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver dynamic geography lessons that cover a range of topics, including physical geography, human geography, and environmental issues.
• Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and promote active learning, including fieldwork, maps, data analysis, and multimedia materials.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, explore different perspectives, and develop their own understanding of geographical concepts.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students, providing support and extension activities as needed.
• Assess students' understanding and progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
