Are you looking for your next step to develop your career in Geography? An Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ Secondary School in the BB4 area of Lancashire are looking to recruit a new member to broaden their ambitious Geography team. This presents an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to broaden their skills and increase their teaching experience at a well-established Catholic Secondary school.
This post is suitable for ECT’s and experienced practitioners.
The successful candidate should:
- Have QTS status, with previous experience teaching Geography over KS3 and KS4
- Have a natural passion for the subject, providing engaging lessons for the students
- Be ambitious, creative, and highly motivated with the capacity to provide and produce diverse lessons
- Be able to deliver the curriculum in a way that provides positive outcomes, whilst also promoting the students to ask questions to confirm understanding
- Be able to maintain classroom focus and manage any challenging behaviour
- Be comfortable handing a class of up to 30 students, ranging from ages 11-16
